 This role will be responsible for managing the successful implementation and management of all business applications (such as core banking, mobile, and branchless banking) in terms of day to day coordination internally with various departments as well as externally with vendors, technology partners, super agents, regulator, etc., preparing necessary documentation, RFPs, budgets, plans, updates, obtaining legal reviews of contracts, processing procurement approvals, and ensuring completion of all deliverables and stages through to deployment, pilots and commercial launch.


  • Provide thought leadership in building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs
  • Maintain regular and effective coordination with business stakeholders in order to align applications roadmap with business needs and challenges
  • Assess the applications architecture currently in place and working with stakeholders to recommend solutions to improve it; Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have, and recommend solutions accordingly
  • Provide supervision and guidance to development teams (internal / 3rd party)
  • Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
  • Actively contribute towards design and automation of organizational business process improvements
  • Ensure availability and performance of applications/3rd party integrations/APIs/channels as per desired standards; report and resolve incidents as per bank’s protocols
  • Develop and maintain connections with applications technology providers, peers in the industry, and relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor applications’ service level agreements and conduct regular performance reviews with associated vendors


  • Strong technical orientation related to the job along with ability to articulate and liaise with business stakeholders effectively
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize, evaluate, and brainstorm solutions
  • Sound knowledge of applications and databases design, SDLC, software quality assurance standards, mobile apps development and release cycles
  • Ability to anticipate problems and proactively take measures to control or minimise them
  • The ability to present information and ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of financial/banking operations and their translation into applications
