Job Purpose: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, finalizing and implementing solutions related to new and existing products, modules and services. PM will sets milestones for each project, coordinates efforts between operations, finance, business and other teams, in order to effectively and efficiently deliver projects according to plan. This position works with internal and external stakeholders to bring structure while implementing complex, project-based processes to bring increased efficiency in the delivery of all projects and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and guides projects throughout their project lifecycle, including systems and processes design. Ensures that projects are completed in accordance with established scope, deadlines, budgets, and technical standards. Prepares appropriate project and supporting documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Manages the identification of risks and issues for proper resolution to ensure successful project implementations.

  • Works alongside project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members to gather business requirements, plan for change management, and participate in development and implementation of new solutions or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Drives the formulation of business and testing requirements. Conducts a dialog with internal customers in business terms and language. Represent and explain scope as well as translate user requirements back to the technology partners
  • Manages vendor implementations and ensures all milestones and deliverables are met in accordance to the Statement of Work and adherence to technical specifications and data sharing requirements
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities by identifying and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develops strategies for improvements
  • Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration
  • Provide technical leadership as well as be hands-on in architecture, design & implementation, automation of manual processes and tools development.
  • Builds relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, technical staff, vendors, and end users

  • Fulfill procurement formalities, legal reviews, process approvals.

  • Prepare project plan, track and report progress on regular basis.

  • Coordination with other departments for design, functionality reviews, testing, training, marketing collateral etc.

  • Ensure proactive and collaborative management to prevent delays and bottlenecks; escalate issues timely for resolution.

Core Competencies:

  • Core Banking Application Domain Knowledge and Hands on Experience of Development and Databases

  • Ability to anticipate problems and proactively take measures to control or minimize them

  • Aggressive learner; intense appetite for detail, ability to handle multiple projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously

  • Proven working experience for project management, data migration, integrations, architectural skills, core banking administration in core banking domain.

  • Superior attention to detail exceptional written and oral communication skills. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment, Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

Technical Training:

  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
