About the Role:
This role will be responsible for the oversight and alignment of IT operations within the bank which includes (but is not limited to) software support, technical support, infrastructure and networks planning, budgeting, design, implementation and maintenance in accordance to the bank’s policies and applicable regulatory requirements, as well as review and update IT policies/procedures in line with changing business needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the technical support, network, infrastructure, & software services in the organization.
Financial - Prepare and control IT operational budgets. Control inventory.
Compliance and Best Practices– Stay up to date on industry norms, practices and regulations to improve IT processes and policies in support of organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational IT policies and procedures. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. Ensure all aspects of IT infrastructure/data center (network, systems, and applications) are well maintained and available for business.
Risk Management: Evaluate practices, procedures, frameworks and functions to assess security gaps, devise and implement necessary plans to mitigate identified risks.
Service Quality: Monitor IT service irregularities and disruptions and identify improvement/recommendations for infrastructure and procedural enhancements.
Human Resources - Plan the effective use of available human resources. Coordinate recruitment and placement of required staff as needed with HR. Delegate tasks and practice accountability. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
Communication - Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services and facilitate coordination and communication with branches and departments.
Strategic Input - Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for IT operations. Implement and manage operational plans. Explore technology based solution/services & service providers in view of business strategy. Provide recommendations along with cost benefits to MB. Manage implementation of approved projects in coordination with internal/external stakeholders.
