Product Manager Liability & Insurance

Job Description (total positions: 1, posted on: Sep 3, 2018)

  • To recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
  • Assessing the market competition by comparing the Bank’s products to competitors products.
  • To obtain product market share and to develop product sales strategies accordingly.
  • To assess product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • To manage all types of Insurance Products / Schemes offered / to be offered by the Bank.
  • To Coordinate insurance companies and prepare reports, MIS, market analysis etc.
  • To ensure compliance of SBP regulations, SECP guidelines, applicable Govt. Laws, SMART campaign with respect to Liabilities and Insurance products.
  • To provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
  • Bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs
  • Complementing portfolio rationalization strategies and initiatives to increase fee, float & profitability for the Liability product offerings 
  • Developing Pricing framework for the new product offerings so as to make it transparent, fair and competitive 
  • To contribute in development of Standard Operating Processes related to operational risk, compliance and KYC framework as per requirement of Regulatory bodies
  • Preparing and reviewing the training material and providing required trainings on liability products at field and head office level
  • To coordinate with Marketing department for development and distribution of marketing material
  • To coordinate with System & Operations Department for developing procedures, processes, restructuring of Account Opening Form, Term Deposit Application Form and other Operational Policy restructuring.

  • Proven ability to develop or manage liability & Insurance products and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Proven working experience in liability products development and management.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
