Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the IT Manager is responsible for leading a team of System and Network Engineers, as well as the design, installation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure systems across multiple locations.

The Infrastructure Manager works closely with IT and business teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.

The Information Technology Manager will focus on enterprise applications, infrastructure applications. This position will manage the day to day functions of all software and hardware. This includes core banking, business and infrastructure applications.


·         Manage the people and technology that report to this position. This includes core banking, business and infrastructure applications (includes all security applications).

·         Managing the technology governance function; by designing controls, providing oversight and managing enterprise technology risk.

·         Complete long-term application strategic planning, documentation and evaluation required to meet business objectives.

·         Develop requirements, documentation and architectural designs for all application related projects.

·         Develop, update and implement IT policy and procedure

·         Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.

·         Arrange purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers as per procurement policy

·         Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

·         Find a reliable and cost effective communication system between branches and Head office.

·         Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

·         Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis

Knowledge and Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Information Technology, or Computer Science related field preferred but not required.

·         At least 5 years of experience of experience in senior level position in IT field

·         Experience managing technology teams, with a focus on development and performance management.

·         Experience managing technology, banking or governance projects.

·         Experience managing and supporting Microsoft Windows based software applications. Experience with Endpoint security systems or other modern technology systems to include; networking, database management, core banking or programming platforms.

·         Strong business background, must be able to communicate technology with business management.

·         Ability to communicate and write clearly and concisely. Candidate must be able to produce business requirements.

·         Ability to work as part of a team and to complete tasks as assigned, with great attention to detail. Independent thought is required.
